what i wore when . . . it was a measly six degrees outside. it has been unbearably cold around here lately. the kind of cold that makes your radiators have a hard time keeping up and need a little help from a space heater. the kind of cold that makes warm sweaters seem like t-shirts and hearty boots seem like sandals. the kind of cold that makes the thick smog that has set in over the valley, covering it in a white haze, turn into snow in the middle of the day while the sun is out. the kind of cold that makes your lips and skin turn wrinkly and red when outside. the kind of cold that gives you goose bumps just thinking about it. the kind of cold that makes even the most adventurous of dogs like kramer reconsider the idea of a walk. and the kind of cold that makes a high of 32 seem positively lovely. yes my friends, it has been cold. . . much much too cold.

i wore: sweater, she inside (similar) // shirt, target // skirt, forever 21 // tights, anthropologie // shoes, madewell // bandana, elk c/o // purse, vintage coach

I love that you often wear maxi skirts – they look great on you! Currently hunting the internet to find some that might flatter my shape as well…you've inspired me, ha.

Have you had a good experience with sheinside? They have great looking sweaters but I am hesitant to order from there because there are a lot of bad reviews about them…

My experience with them has been fine. The only issue I had was that both sweaters I've ordered took a little over a month to get to me. but they were in good condition and what not when they arrived. If you order something from them just anticipate it may be a bit before you get your item in the mail. Hope this helped!

How are you not bundled up more! In Florida when it gets under 60 degrees, I'm dressed as if there's a blizzard outside. This is a cute outfit nonetheless, and I wish I was able to tolerate the cold a bit more 🙂

We were running out the door to see a movie when we took these pictures and I forgot to grab my coat. I was a bit cold to say the least 🙂 . Thank you!!!

Cute outfit! I love the boho chic flair of it. I have not been enjoying the cold at all to say the least and can't wait for the seasons to sprinkle some sunshine in my life. Seriously 🙂 And I agree with the above commentor, if I were you and it was as cold as you described it, I would have about 5 additional layers of clothing on lol

I read this and thought, "It sounds like Salt Lake!" and then realized you live in SLC. That would be why! Hello fellow SLC blogger! Your outfit is amazing btw — much better than my cold weather getup. Loving that sweater especially. x

you write so beautifully! i love the outfit you put together for the chilly weather. my favorite part is the bandanna/scarf. if i have an over sized scarf, i'll be warm forever.
