you may remember me mentioning this book a few weeks back. it was a present gifted to camden and i for christmas and we both absolutely fell in love with it. the book is full of all wes anderson’s witty movies, his inspirations in making them, photos from set, and tons more. if you are not familiar with wes anderson or his movies, you may at least recognize two of his more recent films, fantastic mr. fox and moonrise kingdom. camden and i decided we would watch all the films, even the ones we’ve seen, from start to finish and make a series of date nights out of them. the first movie was bottle rocket, one we hand’t seen before and one we really liked. the wilson brothers who make more than a few reappearances through all his movies, were fantastic. all in all a movie we will be sure to watch again.

Stephen and I regularly have Wes Anderson 'date nights'. Fantastic Mr Fox is probably one of my favourite movies and I cannot wait for his latest to come out this year. His style and flair just take me away to new and exciting worlds. It makes me happy to see others appreciating his work as much as I do 🙂

What's your favourite movie by him?

My husband was pining after that book for Christmas and didn't end up receiving it (the bookstore was out! I tried…). And he's a huge film nut so I think I'm going to suggest that we join in on the fun! It will give me a chance to indulge in his hobby a bit more 🙂 Great idea!

LOVE bottle rocket. i love all his films but that one is still my favorite. also, you know the reason the wilson brothers are in so many of his movies is because they all went to film school at university of texas in austin together?

I am a HUGE Wes Anderson fan! That book looks really cool, and I love how you guys are watching all of his movies for date nights. Rushmore, Royal Tenenbaums, and Moonrise Kingdom are my favorite. My husband and I dressed up as Sam and Suzy for Halloween two years ago. My favorite costume to date

The amount I love Wes Anderson…haven't seen this one yet but when I think of movie nights, Wes is #1. Biggest movie anticipation I have right now is for the Grand Budapest Hotel-it has everybody!!!

I'm not even a little bit sorry that I stalk you on pinterest, and now on your beautiful, beautiful blog.
