recently, i’ve been trying to collect a few really simple and delicious recipes … ones that i could turn to in a pinch. so, when i saw this cooked banana with peanut butter, chocolate chips, and coconut on top while browsing pinterest (where else) the other day, i knew we had to try it. and … i’m so glad we did! it’s super easy and we’ve already had it a few times since. plus, i’ve been unusually into bananas lately … such a strange thing to be into but they just always sound really good. i think i might make it for dessert tonight while we watch our guilty pleasure, the bachelor (camden would like me to mention here that it’s mostly my guilty pleasure and he just watches it to be nice … but i think we all know he secretly loves it too).
if you want to check out this recipe you can see it here … or follow me on pinterest to see what other creations i’m drooling over.
Wow, that actually looks interesting. I may have to try it one day, just hopeful it's not too sweet for me!

Try it! As long as you use semi sweet or dark chocolate chips I think it should me ok:)

Yum! I always make something similar when I'm camping. Just pull one peel section off of the banana, then stuff it with goodies. Wrap the entire thing with tinfoil and put it in the coals of the fire for a few minutes. Banana chocolately melty goodness. I'll have to try making it in the oven… for nostalgic reasons π
We totally did this too and I had forgotten until I read your comment … Thank you for reminding me. Maybe this is why I love it so much:)
mmhmm That looks so amazing! I'm so doing that recipe.

we used to make these when i was little! we didn't use peanut butter though…i should give that a try on there, too. your photos are certainly (as always) doing this yummy recipe justice!
It's probably healthier minus the PB lol. Thank you, Bridget!!

I've always found that some of the best desserts are made with bananas. You have proved my point perfectly
Perfectly stated. I couldn't agree more π

Always listen to your cravings! I knew I was pregnant with numbers 2 and 3 because I craved avocados (an excellent source of folate/folic acid). Bananas are a great source of potassium. The potassium will help you avoid leg cramps as your pregnancy progresses.
Great advice … And you are probably right, thank you!

Right about now, I wish I love bananas! This looks like such a good dessert. I really love making baked apples wrapped in pie crust with a sprinkling of cinnamon sugar on them. mmmm!
