it’s done. lease signed and even a first coat of white paint on four previous very yellow and blue walls. this little outfit is what i happened to be wearing when we found our new pad. so i must say, it is lucky. even more lucky are the good friends we have that always look out for us, that have been keeping their eyes out for a place for us to call home, when our eyes have had to be preoccupied at home. we wouldn’t have found this place without them. matt and bri, we love you! lucky for all you as well. no longer will you have to hear story after story of failed attempts at apartment searching. no longer will you hear my whine and complaints of how hard it is to find a unique place in the city to call home. nope, now you will all have to listen to my sob story of painting and packing and unpacking and moving, because we all know this is much more spellbinding and exciting. sometimes i feel this is just the way life goes. i think sometimes the most compelling and consuming part of ones life may be picking it up and moving it somewhere else. somewhere different and new, fresh and simple. something only a hopeful tick on the clock can tell, but for the better. in a few short weeks we will move on to something else, something like purchasing a dreamy credenza that i have wanted for over a year now. one of those pieces of furniture that makes you go weak in the knees. much more interesting right?

i love you skirt, so pretty.

i remember the joy of packing and unpacking–i thought it was a thrilling conversation to moan to my friends about and bless them they listened until bored to death.

You're exactly right about the most compelling/consuming part. Fresh starts and moves and growth are the fuel to our fires! Enjoy this part of your journey 🙂
