we are headed on a road trop … to moab … and it will be our first one in the last three years … needless to say, camden and i are both very excited. i’ve been putting together a few things to bring in the car to keep us entertained while we are driving: snacks, games, cameras, magazines, etc … when i thought, since we’re a little rusty on this road trip business, why not ask all you out there your favorite things to do, eat, read, and so on while driving far distances in the car. so lay it on me … i’m all ears!

Snacks are a must! When we were kids, my dad would fill a cooler with juice boxes, homemade banana muffins, apples and a few sodas for when we got to the hotel. Bon voyage πŸ™‚

Snacks and a lot of music! We try to eat grain free which makes them a little different, but our last trip we brought GF muffins, blueberries, apples, cured meat, cheese, jerky, coconut water, and skittles. My fiance can't go on a raod trip without a giant bag of skittles. Have fun!

Snacks and a lot of music…and a good route helps keep things fun. We try to eat grain free so our snacks were a bit different than most peoples' would be but we brought: Apples, Blueberries, GF muffins, Cured meat, Cheese, Jerky, Coconut Water, and skittles (my fiance cannot go on a road trip without skittles). Have fun!

'Would you rather' games!! My husband and I love to do that on dates. Even though we've been married for 5 years and known each other for much longer, we still learn things about each other and sometimes starts really good conversation! We also read out loud to each other. Super fun. πŸ™‚

I love books on tape, because I get really sick if I try reading! Pandora was a lifesaver when I moved (and drove…) across the country. Bon Iver makes the miles fly by in the most wonderful way. Also, we brought a lot of apples and a tiny cooler bag full of grapes and cut up veggies.

I have to ask–where did you get that black and white blanket? It's divine!

I can't read in the car: I get so carsick. So I always plan a fun music playlist that we can sing along to! It's been too long for our little family to go away somewhere. Maybe soon then?

It's quite far to drive to where my parents live so I'm used to it. As I usually drive on my own I need to be organized, because no one is handing me something to drink for example. So I don't like to bring a lot of stuff, some water, maybe some tea when it's cold, an apple and maybe some chips or pretzles. That's it. For entertainment, I really like loud music in the car and singing along but I also love listening to podcasts and audiobooks, I really feel like I'm using the time for something good then.
