i love this do-it-yourself project for valentines. it is so simple and cost me nothing because i only used things i had laying around the house. plus it took me under an hour to complete from start to finish. i usually don’t decorate much for valentines but these newspaper hearts are too perfect for the season to not.
^^ *i cut my newspaper into about 5’x5′ squares sixteen times to make sixteen origami hearts. ^^
*tie or tape string to desired location and you’re done!
well … camden and i are off to trader joe’s for the very first time (kind of excited) so i bid you all farewell and hope you enjoy! xoxo – sara

Lots of good stuff there.
Just got out my valentine's decorations today & all I keep thinking is, "needs more hearts". Totally making some of these.

what a great post, i just had a go and your instructions worked perfectly! I think I'll make a batch and hang them up to surprise my hub on valentines day! Thanks so much! xxx
These are so simple and gorgeous… I think I may even venture into pink and gold paper for use at our wedding! Great idea, thanks!

I remember writing notes in high school and folding them into those hearts.

I'm so glad you posted this! I also don't usually decorate for Valentines Day, but I love finding cute ideas like this! So thanks for the tutorial.
I have been following your blog for awhile and I don't know that I have commented before! I love your blog. And my husband is from SLC and we are so jealous that there is a Trader Joe's there now.
i am going to do these for our valentines day as our little home looks bare without some sort of decoration up.
So cute!
Lovely!
First time at Trader Joes!? Watch out now, it's kind of addicting.

Oh they're really cute!
