motoring through the city

Miscellaneous

saturday we went on a ride into the city. it was so warm and pleasant, you could smell the orange blossoms and fresh cut grass which is always my favorite part about spring. we had gotten a bit of a late start since camden has been working a bit later than usual. our plan was to go get some dinner, then walk around through some shops and just enjoy ourselves. by the time we sat down to eat, it was almost nine which isn’t that rare lately but it didn’t seem to bother me this time like it sometimes does. tonight seemed different than usual. there was a sense of calm in the air that whispered “relax, everything will be ok”. since it was the warmest day we had seen yet we decided to sit outside to eat which always makes me feel like i am on vacation. it couldn’t have come at a more perfect time either after a harder than normal week. it had just been one of those weeks that nothing would seem to go right, mostly because my brain must have had an aneurism of some sort. nevertheless, just being able to sit there and relax and think of nothing but the sweet smell and warmth flowing in the air was just what this lady needed. after dinner was through, it suddenly donned on us that stores usually close at nine and since we had sat down to dinner at just about that time we weren’t going to have much luck with our previous plan. neither of us ready to yet make the ride home, we decided to still head over towards some shops anyway and just look around. it was surprisingly nice and quiet with no noise of bustling people. we walked around and looked at all of the window displays and light covered trees imagining that we were walking through the shops making jokes about what we would be doing or saying. i had never been window shopping before, but have to say surprisingly, i thoroughly enjoyed it. although our night had not gone exactly according to plan it was still one of the most enjoyable nights we spent together in some time. i was able to snap some pictures while on our ride and just love how the city looked in movement.
when we got back home, cam and i spent hours talking, which i have missed a bit lately. we didn’t talk about bills or anything of that nature which was a nice change of pace for me. we stayed up much later then usual watching the king of queens late into the night. i always forget how funny that show really is. kramer got a bit fed up with us however and decided it was much past his bedtime. it is funny sometimes to watch him try and stay up with us, fighting so hard to keep his eyes opened just because our eyes are. sometimes i think there must be a little person living in that little guy, he couldn’t just be a dog with all the stuff he tries to comprehend and silly human-like traits he has. well, saturday came and went and couldn’t have lasted long enough, but i am grateful for its “happy power” it seemed to have over us and especially me and hopefully was a sign of a much better week to come.
hope all of your weekends were mighty fabulous and don’t hesitate to share any fun experiences with me. i love to read all of your fun stories!

Your weekend sounds great! I love long talks with my husband! We actually had a really nice long talk, coming back from a day trip in chicago to meet new friends and to model in a photo shoot for the Everygirl. We slept in a little today because of it!

S-I have had them for a little while but they still seem new because I haven't gotten much wear and tear out of them yet! They are from Bonlook. I'm glad you like them!

    E-Your weekend sounds lovely!
