we are celebrating valentine’s day today on account that camden has to work late tomorrow and got done at seven tonight. we don’t have anything elaborate planned. in fact we will probably end up making a quaint dinner at home followed up by either an old audrey hepburn movie (maybe funny face?) or, if we’re lucky, a movie night out (movie recommendations???). who knows, maybe we’ll wind up eating out at hires for hamburgers too. – i’m always on the fence about this so called valentine’s day, i’ve never figured out if i like it or hate it. everyone seems to either have a hate or love relationship with the day, i find you either can’t imagine your life without it, or you despise it to the depth of your core. i find myself resting somewhere in the middle. i could go without it but i’ll take any excuse to go to the movies!

i wore: jacket, fire los angeles // dress, vintage – stylebook vintage // purse, j.crew // tights, vintage // boots, brass plum

I think treating yourself and your partner to something special on Valentines Day is nice. In my case just being able to spend some quality with my guy is rewarding enough.

Hope your day/night was a pleasant one.

I just went to Hire's for dinner myself tonight! Small world 🙂 I hear you about Valentine's being an odd holiday – I'm all for celebrating love, but there's just so much buildup around this one day. Normally we celebrate a night or weekend early to avoid the crowds, but since my husband's been working 80+ he weeks and we haven't had a proper date night in ages we'll be heading out to dinner tomorrow 🙂 You know what's crazy – in my 24 years, 5+ of which with my dude, I've never gone on an actual date date on Valentine'a day! We'll just have to wait and see how tomorrow pans out 😉

Hope you and your husband have a nice evening together!

dinner at home is my favourite idea of a romantic date. I like Valentines – I'll take any day I get to dedicate it to spending time together, flowers or no flowers. hope you all had a romantical evening together.
