i’m dumbfounded i didn’t think of this before … i love these felt garlands … i’m always looking for more but they do seem to run slightly on the pricey side, especially if you want more than one. i was at a craft supply store the other day looking for something when i saw these packages of colorful felt balls for just a few dollars … and then in hit me … why don’t i just make my own?! you guys, this is seriously the simplest and by far best thing i’ve done all year. it took me ten minutes and maybe ten dollars and i had myself a perfectly colorful and special felt ball garland ready for the holiday season.

all you’ll need is: some felted balls, a sharp needle, and some embroidery floss. the hardest part of this whole project was threading the needle with the embroidery floss. simply string them together  until you get a length you’re happy with, then tie loops on either side of the string to end. i really only like these sort of projects if they are somewhat simple to complete … this one takes the cake.

This is awesome! I'll have to try this out myself soon. I'm thinking white and gold felt balls (if i can find them) might be on the tables for a cute Christmas decoration this year. Thanks for sharing! x

Thank you, Hannah! No they don't … you can move the balls along the string with your hand but they don't move on their own.
