a celebration

Miscellaneous

i wish it was our anniversary everyday just so we could eat at tiburon daily. it’s five courses of heaven (i totally spaced the picture of dessert, creme brulee, it was so good i couldn’t stop before we devoured it all). starting with the best appetizer man has created, braised pork with brie cheese and caramelized onions (sorry if i’m making you hungry, i’m making me hungry!).
it was so fun to get out and enjoy the night. the entire week before i had been so sick and the ten fires surrounding our little valley was not helping matters either. because of being sick and the thick as jell-o smoke coating the air, it has been a while since we have gone anywhere for a little date night, let’s just say i was extremely excited to do so.
and movies, well that is a whole different matter. being that our front yard is a movie theater you would think that meant we have seen everything there was to see from top to bottom and in between. a year ago that may have been the case, however, lately it has been a rare occasion that we sneak out for a movie night and to be honest i wasn’t even sure what was playing. seeking a friend for the end of the world was actually a movie i had been wanting to see, mostly because keira knightley and steve carrell in a movie together? i was intrigued! – and also because it looked, well for lack of a better term “cute”.
although i really loved the movie and would recommend it to anyone and everyone, i’m not sure i would want or will ever see it again. i am a total sucker for happy endings, and while not wanting to give away the ending, the ending was, well. . . sad.
all in all, we both had a wonderful night. thanks again camden!
the braised pork with brie and caramelized onions (fyi. the picture does not do it justice)
the most delicious salad with fresh apples and candied nuts

raspberry and lemon sorbet to cleanse the pallet

ahi tuna with the best candied squash my taste-buds have had the privilege of tasting
where the picture of dessert would have gone if i hadn’t spaced on a picture
