on juder-bug’s first christmas, we woke up to snow. actual snow! we ate orange rolls and way too many sweets. we all took turns opening gifts … it was so sweet watching jude’s eyes light up at the toys inside of the crinkly paper. we read books, took naps, watched a christmas story and new girl. we visited family, listened to christmas music, lit candles … it was nothing short of magic. happy christmas!
there are those occasional evenings that as parents we find ourselves over-tired and at our wits end. nights when little juder-bug just can’t quite figure where he left his sleep and mom and dad know exactly where they left their slumber … within their babies hands. of course baby jude misplaced those too. on these occasional evenings we sometimes find ourselves jumping in to our car and going for a doughnut run. about fifteen minutes in, jude realizes he has left his friend sleep in the car all along and mom and dad get a late night doughnut date all to themselves. also, there is this extra plus of getting an easy and ready to go breakfast the next morning …
