it’s lucky week thirteen which has, true to the superstition of the number, been one of the least lucky weeks yet. before now, it seemed as though my off and on morning sickness was pretty much controlled as long as i kept something in my stomach. but within the past five to six days or so, the nausea and exhaustion have come back with a vengeance … blah. plus, i think i may becoming down with some sort of cold. the air quality has been really terrible due to all of the cold temperatures lately and though i’ve been staying inside as much as possible, i’ve still been hoping that my sore throat and headache are consequences of having to occasionally go outdoors and breathe in pollution, and not from an actual illness … i guess only time will tell.
according to a few pregnancy books and apps, our baby should now be between the size of a plum and a kiwi. because i couldn’t find either a plum or a kiwi at the neighborhood grocer, i went with a very small orange that camden and i both agreed was about the size of your average plum. still no baby bump to speak of, though it’s probably hard to see either way because of the top i was wearing … but still, nonetheless, nothing really quite there. honestly, i’m kind of excited to see a little baby bump down below … even if to just actually look the way i’ve been feeling and to make all of this feel just a bit more real. i’ve been assured it will all happen all in good time though … all in good time.
