for the last five years it has just been the three of us: myself, camden, and kramer and the two years before that belonged to only camden and me. although we are so excited to add on to our family and welcome with open arms a new chapter into our home, a part of each of us knows it will never be exactly the same again. for the last five months and the next 141 days, we have and will continue to celebrate those last few precious moments where it is just us three. taking naps on the bed in the middle of the day, long walks in the morning, date nights out …. and don’t get me wrong, we are so excited and thrilled to be moving on, to be meeting and loving our new baby for the very first time. a part of me even wants to hurry it up a little quicker so we can finally meet our quickly growing child, but i think it’s important, before this big adventure begins, to sit back, relax, and enjoy the time we have left together as a quaint family of three.
love this. I'm kind of in the same situation. I am 13 weeks along and we are so used to it being kyle, brooks (our dog), and I. our family of three. even though we are so excited to welcome this baby into our family, thank you for reminding me to enjoy the time we have left with just us. sometimes I can forget how special it is.

Yes! It is so very important to soak up as much time as you can pre-baby. The first few months are always so blurry and sleepy. It gets hard to remember to give time to your relationship as a couple and not just as parents.
you'll still be doing the exact same stuff when your baby arrives and it'll feel like baby was always there! good luck!

I think you are so prepared! This post is so sweet and smart. Honestly, parenthood will change you (how could it not!) but if your relationship is solid, it will only strengthen the love and bond you have to each other. My guy and I have been together for nearly 14 years, and we now have 3 little boys… I could not love him more. 🙂
