last night, camden and i went to our first drive in together as a married couple. sure, both of us had been plenty of times growing up but never yet together. this being the case, we both had very different ideas about how to properly see a movie when one is watching the movie from ones car. growing up as a kid, we would always fold down all the seats, pile all the blankets that would fit in the back of our land-cruiser, and make the biggest and comfiest of all backseat beds. camden and his family however, would pull into the theater with the front of their car facing the movie screen and just watch the movie from their seats. i was one hundred percent convinced that my way was the only way so that is what we tried, the whole bed in the back of the car thing, all the while forgetting the fact that our car is about one-tenth the size of the car we had growing up. after much stubbornness on my side, i reluctantly gave in and we watched the movie from the front seats. we have definite plans to go again, but next time weβre borrowing a bigger car and thatβs just that. Β
I haven't been to the drive-in, in years. I do remember doing the exact same thing though, folding all the chairs down and making one big comfy bed. I guess it would be a bit difficult with a smaller car! What movie did you see? This post just makes me want to go to the drive-in now! x
Most of the movies playing looked scary so we ended up just seeing Despicable Me 2 … It made for a good date night … And you should totally go! I had forgotten how much fun they were!!

I love Redwood. So fun!
This looks so romantic and fun. Sadly there are hardly any drive-ins in Germany. But this post makes me want to look if I can find one. π
Have a good day.
we LOVE the drive in because our kids fall asleep in their seats and we can watch a movie together, a real treat

This looks like a lot of fun. I've never been to a drive-in! X
There are far too few drive-ins in Switzerland or Germany! I wish we had more, I only ever went once but it was so much fun.

Haha, classic! We are still getting used to each others traditions too… it might take a little while!
Love these photos π Wish we had drive ins in the UK.

Your way is certainly the best way! Although when I was growing up, I once went with a family who all sat outside of the car on camp chairs! It was not so great. I love these photos though!

I've never been to a drive in movie (I grew up in Ireland and that would never have worked there!) but now that I'm living in the US its on my list of goals for my first year here – it looks like so much fun, I love these photos.

cute outfit! and cute car! (even if it was too small for the movie)
I agree – back seat makeshift bed is the way to go! Pickup trucks are the best if you have access to one π

So fun! Your shoes are perfect with your outfit. Where is the drive in?
Thanks Jessica!! It is on Redwood road and like 3600 south … I can't remember the exact address but that should be close π

I love drive-in theaters, but I haven't been to one in years! I can't wait to go back and see one again.
